episodic scifi be like 'we come from earth, a richly diverse planet with nearly 200 countries and many more unique cultures!! every single planet we visit is a single continent monoculture and we never question this. but shock twist! this one planet has TWO CULTURES! O_O and yes! they are at war <3'
